About us.
Barbers of Sydney is produced and published by Corner Store Publishing, an independent publishing house based in Sydney’s south. The founders, Craig and Darryn, love to tell stories of people and places that invite us deep into the ritual of everyday life.
They have been telling stories for the past 30 years, using their photography, writing, and design trades. Sometimes for money. Sometimes for fun.
Growing up in Sydney’s south, the Corner Store was important. It’s where Craig and Darryn spent their afternoons sitting on an overturned milk crate telling stories and enjoying a meat pie or sausage roll with sauce, a 300ml carton of chocolate-flavoured milk, and a 10-cent bag of lollies.

About the book.
The Barbers of Sydney book will tell the story of Sydney's best barbers and their barber shops. But this book isn't just for barbers; it celebrates Sydney's vibrant culture, style, and community. This includes individuals who appreciate the artistry of barbering and are drawn to the stories behind these iconic establishments.
The Barbers of Sydney book will be read over and over again. The stories and wisdom within will always be relevant. It is not a magazine that will be read once and discarded. The book will be picked up over and over again and gifted to many. Think of the numerous high-traffic places the book will sit in, waiting for the next person to pick it up and read—coffee tables, barbershop lounges, cafes, waiting rooms, featured sections in local libraries, etc.
Barbers of Sydney offers advertisers an unparalleled opportunity to connect with a highly engaged audience, encompassing the professionals shaping Sydney's grooming scene and the discerning customers they serve.
